Some questions about courses

Hello,

I'm VERY new to golfing, but somehow I was slated with organizing golf get togethers with some friends of mine from school over this summer.

There are five of us that wish to get together maybe once a month for a round or two. Three of us, including myself, are extreme amateurs at the game.

I was hoping to get some suggestions about which courses would be best for us. My one concern is that I'd really like the course to be relatively accessible by OCTranspo buses. As students we don't really have vehicles to drive anywhere. Also only two of the five have clubs. So rental facilities will be needed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are not too many courses that you can get to by OC Transpo, but one of them is Pineview. They have club rentals and it is geared more towards "extreme amateurs", especially the Executive Course. There are a few courses on the Quebec (Champlain, Gatineau, Chateau Cartier) that you can get to by public transportation, but I think Pineview is probably your best bet.
