Re-Shafting Questions/Tips/Advice
Two questions:
Number 1:
Does anyone have a low-cost and easy-to-use tool to help with removing graphite shafts? I have to admit that for cheap shafts (that I'm not interested in re-using), it's alot of fun to watch the graphite shaft loose all integrity under heat, but I'm getting tired of going to GolfTown, Chucks or GolfWorks everytime I have a shaft that I'd like to preserve.
Number 2:
No matter how hard I try, I keep getting drivers and fairway woods with bore-thru shafts (Damn you Callaway!) and I like to experiment with different shafts. Are there gadgets/jigs/tools available these days to make it easier/possible for an idiot like me to deal with these bore-thru shafts? Again, I'm getting tired of making the trip to ... yada yada yada ...
Thanks in advance!

Golfsmith has a jig for grinding the shaft to either a Calloway or a Titleist head (one side for each). It is fairly cheap as long as you don't want it shipped from T.O. Last I looked it was about $20 for the part and they wanted 30$ for shipping or something equally stupid. The part is only 4 inches long for pete's sake!@!!!!
I said bugger it and built a jig out of a 2x2 and just eyeballed it. Works fine. Took about 20 minutes to make the jig and about 10 to grind/test/grind until I fit the shaft to the head properly.
