    Lazer Rangerfinders

After reading the posts on the thread about rangefinders, I thought I'd post a poll to find out what you think.

Do you think rangefinders should be allowed to be used during play in OVGA and other amateur events, or not be allowed DURING these events. I'm just looking for a yes or no .

I'm all for them. particularly after this past Saturday where friends and I played a course we had not been on before. It was without question the most poorly marked course I have played since I played the Maples on March 13 a few years ago before they had put the yardage markers out for the season. We never had a clue how far we were from the pin. I wished the whole round that one of us had brought a rangefinder.

Mont St Marie was the same thing on Saturday. Always flying the greens on shots/clubs I really know my yardage on. I paced a few off from the "100 yard marker" and it was more around 80 yards. I also have this little scope thing that may not be as good as a laser but is still a have decent approx and it came up with a min 10 yards shorter on almost every hole. Very frustrating to hit a great shot and be 10-15 yards long. Course was in pretty good shape but really slow greens.

You guys arent reading the question propertly, so this is not an accurate poll after just 4 responces.
