Found club what to do
Played golf the other day and like most golfers have done I forgot a club right beside the green. I didn't notice it for quite some time so I had no idea where I left it. On getting back to the clubhouse I waited for some golfers who were behind me and asked if they had seen my club and believe it or not these 3 or 4 golfers all saw my club but could not remember where and of course they had not brought it in. I then went out onto the course and found several more golfers who had seen the club but could not remember where and of course they had left it there.
On returning to the clubhouse I learned someone had finally brought the club into the pro shop so my question is WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE Pick it up or leave it there ? I would have brought it in but that's just me.
Nice to know there are people out there with common sense.Last edited by DMWARREN; 08-10-2016 at 10:02 PM.

Brought it in for sure..can't even count how many forgotten clubs I've brought into the clubhouse at the end of a round
I like to call it a power fade

I always bring them in and oftentimes catch up to the foursome in front of us and ask them if it's theirs.

I always pick them up, and ask any groups in front that I come across if it is theirs. If I see a marshal then I will give it to him to take to the clubhouse and/or check in with the groups farther ahead of us.

Pick it up, and keep it in the putter well, in plain sight for any panicky golfer that is doubling back. That way, if we are putting, they can easily see it on display and take it back. Either that or drop it off, or give it to a marshal.

Do the right thing and bring it back to the clubhouse.

We have always brought clubs (and even cellphones) back to clubhouse or called Clubhouse to let them know. I'm embarrassed to say earlier this summer I found a wedge casually put it in my bag. Shortly after, the horn blew for inclement weather and we had to make a mad panicky dash back. In my haste and due to my being soaked and just wanting to get home and dry, I forgot the club in my bag. To my horror, I found it two days later when I next pulled my clubs out of my truck and sheepishly turned it in to the clubhouse. Hopefully, the owner did not give up on it's return.
