Intersectionals is the only event with a pace of play problem. In 2015, the longest Men's Round in Tournament play in OVGA events was 4:35 minutes. Most around 4:17 on average. We have the data to back that up. We had several events that had groups completing their rounds 20 minutes under time par.

Don't paint all competitive golf with a brush that should be meant for one event.

Great point. There wasn't a pace of play issue at the Tunis. Could it be as simple as a format issue (stroke play vs match play)? The slowest rounds I seem to encounter are those in which the competitors are engaged in a match.

match play should be faster. Conceeded putts, usually not having to play the full 18, etc.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Certainly not on the second day. However, we did give out slow play penalties during the first round. The overwhelming majority of players are playing faster due to the institution of the group pace of play policy, not just in the Tunis, but all tournaments, however, there are still a handful of players who think that five practice swings before every stroke will help them score lower.

The threshold for concessions was pretty high! Pretty much 2 feet... and on a few occasions even closer than that.

So that actually slowed things down because you're not allowed to brush in your two and a half footer. You MUST wait your turn.

I can't comment on the 2nd day, but walking the course on the first day, the group I was following was finished in under 4.5 hours.

Nope. Match play so it's always the player who is furthest away that plays first.
