Mt-Cascade new ownership
From the Le Droit newspaper this morning: Pierre-Hughes Fortin taking over Mt-Cascades the 1st of May. Thats a surprise. He is the current owner of the Tecumseh golf course. Young 37 year old business man.

Interesting.
I enjoy that course, particularly the back nine.
Here's hoping they keep the same laid back feel to the course.

From what i read, they will be offering joint membership with Tecumseh. The new owner has great ideas and is willing to invest in both courses to improve them. I am sure its a win win deal for all.

The one and only plan is to invest effort and money on both golf courses in order to offer great golf experience at both location. The new owner is pretty clear about that.
New and exciting offer will come up from both courses soon .. stay tune!

Tecumseh, the course where members play in groups of 5 and won't let singles play through, I will never play there again.. Cascade is alright, usually play once a year...

Since 2014, the members can't play as a 5some anymore.

Last time I played at Tecumseh, the Marshall insisted I had to tuck in my shirt into my pants. Thought he was joking but he wasn't. This was a few years ago but I never returned. The only other course in this area that Implemented this rule was when I played the Ottawa Hunt Club.

Maybe he has the "Norm" overhang and looks better with the shirt out

Played it yesterday. Hassle free round. Fast greens and hard fairways. Very good spring conditions.
Played at as 2 some and got around in 4 hours. Not bad for 8h30 in the morning.
My friend has only one complaint which is: No water in some of the ball washers and towels need to be replacedLive as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
