2016 Ottawa golf show
On Friday March 4th and Saturday March 5th!?!?!?
Who came up with this bright idea???? Why not have it during the weekend like they did before, Saturday, Sunday.
They only good thing for people who can free themselves Friday is that the parking is free!
Not impress with the date selection!!!

I for one like it. Friday it is for me. Free parking too...sweet.
Are there any online discount codes available?

I am on the fence about going, I hate paying for parking and I think I know what courses. I will end up playing this year.
Does Malone have a booth this year?

I saw that Jeff, but Friday doesn't work for me.. I may do the 2 for 1 instead. I wonder why it is Fri/Sat, it used to be Sat/Sun the years in the past.

Yep, I guess we will see, maybe Sunday was already booked, maybe Fridays are cheaper to rent, or they are trying something new... Hopefully people have a good time...

Would love a review from anyone who attended today. How are the booths, what are they giving away/deals, etc.
I like to call it a power fade

Just got back. It was busy - the free parking was definitely a hit.
I did not see a booth from Malone or NY state golf, but most of the other travel destinations were there.
Yes, there are free beer samples from Big Rig, Covered Bridge, Kitchissippi, etc.
Did not venture into the retail areas, but Ping had a demo booth (along with TM, Callaway, Cobra and Tour Exotics) if you want to try new clubs.

I can confirm that there was a booth from Turningstone Resort at the show. I filled out a ballot/marketing lead for a free weekend but I don't recall seeing any others from NY state there. Having said that, there were some from Maryland, S Carolina and a couple of Caribbean ones too.
Got to hear Brooke Hendersons coach Tristan Mullaly talk about Brooke and her development from the time she became a Natl team member up to today. Although there were some technical difficulties with the videos he intended to show it was still very interesting to hear.

Good to hear some comments about the show and the content of it. More reviews would be welcomed by myself and others I am sure.

I went on Friday. Spent 3 hrs and visited every booth at least once. Overall take - number of exhibitors down, except for some great deals on sets of Speedblades - graphite and steel - that I saw, no phenomenal club pricing. Shoes and clothes were the same lines and pricing offered year-round at the bulk sell off retailers in the area. In short...downsized by most, not attended by others, limited to poor club/ball/shoe selection and pricing. Seminars always informative. The industry is hurting...what else is new....probably will not attend next year. IMHO
