P3pro comments?
Hey everyone, new to the forum and building my first sim. I have been doing a lot of research on sims that i can afford mostly the P3 and i don't like the look of the turf. I contacted Slickthings about an aftermarket turf option and he suggested i join your forum and find out some more pros and cons about the P3 before i buy...so here i am Can anyone tell me if they have had any issues with the club catching the sensor openings? Any other cons? Thanks in advance!!!

I've been a P3pro user for many years now and have the first generation commercial grade turf top. It is a bit stiff, but the newer version seems quite good to me.
They had two options a few months ago. The standard turf top and the commercial grade one. If you are talking about the standard turf top, I agree it is not the way to go, but I think all they offer now is the commercial grade turf top and as I wrote above it is quite good.
The P3pro swing is tough to beat from and cost performance/features standpoint and they have come a long long way over the last couple of years.

Thanks for the input! I spoke to Par2pro and they mentioned that P3 has discontinued the regular turf and rubber top versions and now only offer the grass top because of the amount of complaints they were getting. I really like the look of the turf cover from Slickthings but I am concerned with the club leading edge catching the sensor opening in the turf. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of issue?

I just looked at their sight and there does appear to different levels for their grass tops, so my post above is not quite right. If it were me I would get the best one they have.
Sorry, I have no experience with Slickthings' golf turfs.

Because if the height difference I had to add styrofoam to prop up my stance mat and you have to adjust the sitting in the software to ad 1/2" for reading

I have the slickthings turf and it is wonderful, got it for both my p3 and opti. For me the club doesn't catch at all.
