    Three Holes In One

Yesterday at the Greyhawk GC, the OVGA held its annual Tournament of Champions tournament. During play there were THREE holes in one. A fellow competitor in our group, Ron McWade from Kanata GC aced #7 on Talon, Michel Berube from Tecumseh holed out on #15 on the same course, and a lady got her hole in one on a par 3 on the Predator course.

Ron also won the senior division with a well played 2 under par 70, in the wind and the rain. Incidentally, Ron's hole in one was his third in just seven weeks.

Finally got my first ace. Sept.16 Gatineau, hole 12, 125 yds. 9 iron. Did not see the ball go in, because of the cattails at the north end of the pond. No jumping up and down, no loud shout. I thought I was OK for the rest of the round. Turns out, it affected me more than I realized. I followed the ace with 3 double bogeys.

If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.
