    sand traps

I have found this year that the sand bunkers at most local courses are sub standard, one high end course in the west end is particularly poor. Pineview has done a nice job but several courses I have played the texture of the sand , including rocks and contour is not good at all. Can anyone note courses that have good traps? I have not played Eq and SB this year but if memory serves me right they do a nice job.

Stonebridge could really use some sand in their bunkers. They look nice but the have about a half inch of soft sand that is very hard underneath. eQuinelle's are great, as are Pineviews.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Hawkesbury and eQuinelle have great green side bunkers...Meadows are poor, a little sand and then like cement underneath....they need to add more sand, and maybe rototill them to loosen them up.... Just my $0.02....

Historically Greensmere has had TERRIBLE bunkers (although few in general) and I am always terrified of going in them, because they're like concrete and you end up skulling the ball out of them all too frequently.

A month or so ago I believe they got new sand, or at least started maintaining them. Now I'm struggling to trust the soft sand enough to swing hard.

Nice to see them finally maintaining their bunkers - although they could use a bit more shape around the greens.

This is not the Pine View you remember from years gone by. Come back and see what we have done and what we have in store for the future - www.pineview.com

dont mind slow greens as long as the ball is rolling true and the greens are consistent
