Ottawa Hunt Club - South Nine

I have now played the recently opened and newly renovated south nine at Ottawa Hunt twice and all I can say is WOW! I have only played from the blue tees, but the course has something for everyone. From the gold tee deck, the new configuration stretchers to over 3700 yards. The blues are 3550+ while the whites are over 3200. The new sight lines and bunking is spectacular. For those who haven't played Hunt Club in a couple years, you might not recognize the course. The original golf course has now undergone a complete makeover. The finished product is a very demanding par 71 with holes of varied length and danger. The changes, in conjunction with the new range and practice facility should help secure Hunt as the premier golfing destination in the national capital region.

Too bad only several hundred (?) people are able to play the "premier golfing destination in the national capital region". 98% of golfers can only look in whilst driving by!

3700 yards is pretty long. Are they looking to host a pro tournament?

LPGA in 2017 is my guess. Homecoming for Brooke Henderson and it aligns with the 150th anniversary celebrations being planned in the city.

LPGA setups are typically in the 6600 yard range, give or take. Not sure I've ever heard of one being over 7000 so I'd doubt they'd play the South all the way back.
