Well Done Pine View!
so...on the final green today at Pine View this afternoon when the storm broke and lightning flashed over the club house. No sooner did I say to my playing partners 'nice game gents...that's it!' And picked up my ball, than horns were sounding from the pro shop and runners were sent with horns to the front and back nines to let all golfers know...Lightning was in the area! SHUT IT DOWN!!! Having been young and foolish as a young golfer and come too near to what could have been very serious results from such foolishness, I cannot thank any golf course enough for taking the extra effort to look after such situations with the care taken today. Well done Pine View....really well done!

Did you know...
That during normal playing conditions, an injury on the course from playing golf (hit by a ball) the course can't be held accountable...
However there are 2 conditions where a course can be held accountable...
During a lightning storm and Fog!
If you are on the course in a fog and get hit by a ball the course can be at fault.
Now you know!

Again a perfect example of a course that takes the time to go the extra mile to take care of you. Well done indeed. Dont see that too often.

Should happen at every course, every year...every time there is any lightning in proximity...IMHO
