The course is wetter than last week with the rain events we have had this past week and the frost working its self out of the ground. After a couple days of no carts at Pescott this week because course wetness, the carts will be out Again this weekend. With a sunny forecast for the weekend and forecasted highs of 12- 14 C it should be a great weekend for spring golf!

eQuinelle was in great shape this morning, albeit freezing with the wind.

Metcalfe still dry today and greening up nicely. The odd plugged ball that that is to be expected in April.

Played the west 9 today. A bit of winter kill on the fairways, fast greens. No plugged balls.

    Played Stonebridge today.

There were a couple of spots on the fairway that were a little mushy/damp, but other than that, the fairways were in excellent shape. The greens were a little shaggy, but were rolling pretty well.

The greens could actually use some rain I think.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

lol...funny as it rained all last week! Playing there Thursday, hopefully the warmer weather will dry out the damp spots.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

    The Meadows

Played the Meadows on Thursday. They have North/East open. Some of the fairways are soggy with some mud and quite a few of the fairways and rough around greens are covered in goose poop. Not fun to walk through. Even had a few of the geese hissing at me while I was on the green.

    Carts on cart paths only.

The greens were slow but good. Some still have winter kill.

All in all, though, it was a good day of golf. Sunny but cold and needed a touque and winter golf gloves.

Yeah they need to get a couple of coyotes to sort out the goose issue
Played there on Friday too , decent enough

Played eQuinelle yesterday , course is nice , again a few soggy areas , some strange blotchy patches on some fairways and a couple of issues with some sprinklers by the looks of it , but greens were nice and fairly quick
At the end of the day ... It gets dark

Played Gatineau this past weekend, they have a great promotion 2 players for $42.00 comes up to 25 each, but the conditions arn't all that great, greens were not the best and 40% of the fairways were a little wet. But for the price, you cant go wrong.

Gatineau greens are awfull compared to Canadian, Metcalfe, and Presscott. Big aeration holes all over. The special 2 players for 42.00 PM is the only reason to play it right now. I,m sure it will be back in good shape in about a month.

Played SB today and yesterday---2 mushy fairway spots---that's it. We could use a little rain and with this heat everything should fill in nicely--well worth the $$$
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I played Irish Hills on the 19th...overall not too bad. Some fairways were soggy but only one or two plugged balls. Greens were healthy but very slow.

It's been over a week since though so I'm sure its dried up nicely.

Played Stonebridge today. Course is in great shape overall. Greens are on the slow side - that would be my only complaint.

Gatineau on April 29, 2015…. No need to compare…the greens are straight-up awful, full of last year's aeration holes, no dressing, and lots of winter kill. The fairways need a good clean-up, lots of debris from a hard winter.

I played Renfrew for the 4th time this season last night, the course is bone dry, it needs watering now. Greens were great, rolling true and came through the winter nicely. The course is greening up nicely with the warmer temperatures.

CEDARHILL on Wed. was quite nice. Lots of green, very little winterkill or soggy spots, greens in fine shape & couple of NEW MICROBREWS to taste. Only a few geese.

    Casselview

Today was just a treat!!! Bone dry, no winterkill, greens running fast & true. Almost as good as the course will get. The new hole, #14 is 168 from the whites and is already a bugger of a green. Tough, tough...try it!!

The Cassel Microbrewery along with Beau's are both on draft!!

Played Emerald Links tonight, overall impressed with the conditions. Tee boxes can use some work, not many flat spots on West/South and some greens need some work, but for this early in the season its impressive!

I played Sand Point (old Arnprior Golf Club) on the weekend. The course wintered exceptionally well. Greens are rolling fantastic. You can really see things greening up. Should be another great year of conditions in Sand Point.
