Am I The Only Golfer In Southwest Ontario?

I find it hard to believe that I am the only golfer residing in Southwest Ontario. Surely there must be other in the London area who use this forum. If so please post something so I know I am not alone here

I golf out of Westminster Trails, so if you are out there let me know.

I am from London and enjoy playing the 135 courses within an hours drive from London.

I really like St.Mary's and other courses in the area.

Actually St Mary's is one course I have not played. I have to get up there and play it some day.
You are right, there are a lot of golf courses within a 2 hour drive of London and most of them do not charge high rates like those coures up around Toronto area.
I do have a membership at Westminster Trails, reason is I usually play well over 120 rounds a year. Paying green fees is not economically wise when you play that many rounds of golf a season

I like Indian Hills. Played it back in late July and it was in great shape. Seems like the new owners are taking better care of it now. They told us they are hoping to open a driving range across the road, that would be a great addition to that course.
Some of my favourite holes there, #2, I love that short Par 4, makes you think off the tee.
#11, beauty! #17, another great hole.
There is some tough holes on that course, I think it is #5, the Par 4 that runs along the field and the green sits down in the ravine. That is another great hole. #12 ( I think) the Par 5 that is a dog leg right and the green sits up on a hill in the trees.
All in all it is a good test of golf and for the money a great bargain too.

Yes, those holes are pretty good ones. #5 is the one that gives me a headache . If you get a chance, play Widder station. Cost 22 bucks on Tuesday early PM. www.widderstation.com Nice course and great staff.

I have played Widder in the past and enjoyed it. Couple of goofy holes there but all in all a decent course for what you pay.
I should look into the Tuesday special for next week. I have an old friend who lives in Grand Bend, he used to be a member at my course. Now he plays out of Widder so I could hook up with him. Thanks for the heads up on the deal!
BTW you might know my sister, she lives near Forest and works in a bank there. I used to know people from Forest as I went to school at Warwick Public School and to highschool in Petrolia and there were some from Forest who went to school there too. Depends on how old you are I am 50
