Goodbye Ottawa Golf Scene, I will Miss You

    Members of this Local Forum,

Although I have read these forums religiously for the last ten years, I have never really commented except for my time managing the AGC. I have recently moved on and am now the Director of Golf at the Hinton Golf Club in Alberta. I really wanted to say goodbye and wish all the Ottawa Golfers well that have supported me over my career!

Carleton G&YC, Meadows GCC, Arnprior GC and GlenMar GCC have all meant so much to me over my 22 years in the business. The ownership groups and BOD's were always great but most of all the golfers (all of you) are what made my job so enjoyable. I will miss you all and invite anyone who is traveling to the Rocky Mountains to visit my new club in Hinton Alberta.

Notably I would like to thank a few great people who really made an impact on my golf career: thanks to Harry Hereford Ottawa PGA Executive Director, Darrell Buchanan Director of Golf at the Meadows GCC and finally the biggest reason for my passion for the game my late father Ken Burnie! All these distinguished gentlemen allowed me to dive into a life long journey that I will forever continue on!

Take care and I wish you all the best 2015 season possible!

    Sincerely,

    Greig Burnie PGA of Canada
    Director of Golf
    Hinton Golf Club
