Razer Blade Pro GTX 860M Laptop for running protee/TGC for GC2
Hi guys,
I'm close to purchasing protee/TGC for my GC2. Would this laptop be able to the run TGC at highest settings?
Razer Blade Pro 17 inch Gaming Laptop 256GB- Windows 8.1
Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.4 GHz
16.0 GB DDR3L SDRAM
256 GB Solid-State Drive
17.4-Inch Screen, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M
Also has anyone tried to use a mirroring dongle (Chromecast or Miracast) on their projector?
Thanks

I did not know there was an 860 gtx card? It looks like a laptop card and does not appear to be as good as the 760. I don't think you will get as much as what you are looking for. I believe most set the tree detail down in any event.

This is what I understand are the minimum and recommended requirements for TGC.
Minimum
OS: 64 bit Windows 7, 8
Processor: Intel i5 3.0 ghz Quad core or AMD 6300 3.5 ghz 6 core.
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 660
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 100 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
600W Power Supply
Recommended
OS: 64 bit Windows 7, 8
Processor: Intel Core i5 4670 or AMD 8350 4.0 ghz or higher
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 970 2GB
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 200 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
750W Power Supply
The GTX 860M is only about half as fast as the recommended GTX 970, so I doubt you will be able to run at full settings without some delays. If you want to run the software at full settings, you may want to select a computer with capabilities closer to recommended level.Last edited by Stonebattle; 03-08-2015 at 11:38 AM.

Thanks. I'll go with a custom build instead.

I just went through the same process and decided to build a desktop for myself to save some money. It was easier than I thought it would be (and was a lot of fun as a project). Even with a GTX970 4GB video card, the total cost was right around $1K USD. I'm sure it could be done a little cheaper too.
