Foresight FSX is officially launching today 6 Mar
Pre-payers check your email. For the rest i guess you can go to foresight's website to see what new. Got a course catalog in the email but not sure if they posted it in the website yet.

And it looks like you get a free course if you have an internet connection and will send back your dongle. That's a nice bonus. Let's see how long it takes to get the download out to people.

Sending the dongle back and getting the new one back is what will take time.

They didn't say they were sending a new dongle. it says that it will use an online activation code. That's the reason it ask if you have an internet connection or not. Least that's how I interpreted it.

I asked them to clarify if it needed a constantly on internet access before i decide to trade in my dongle, but they still haven't replied.
If internet is just for starting thats fine, but if internet needs to be on the whole time, that will be a non-starter for me.
I really hope they updated the other components (fit and compete) of their software as well and not just the 'play' part.

So I don't get why you would have to send back the dongle and why they just don't send out a new one it doesn't makes any since at all.
Not sure for what it costs for the upgrade, makes getting one course a bonus and from other posts the new fitting software isn't better than the old software. For me if the fitting software was better than old then the upgrade would be worth it.
From what I can tell in the pictures the courses just look like a minor graphics upgrade from the existing courses.
But right now I'm not sure if it's worth it and with a new dongle does the old software still work. And also I already have some of the new courses in the old version so not sure I would want to get new ones of those just for a little better graphics.

Just received the activation email. That was a lot quicker than I thought. Still at work, but will activate shortly.

right on nicksez it's been a long wait from when they told me I could get it in June
Hopefully you can clear up the dongle issues and I'm curious to hear if they made any new and better changes to the fitting software.
Hope the new courses are better than the pictures and worth the upgrade

Just heard back from Foresight. You need constant internet access whilst software is running.
My internet access can be spotty, constantly dropping and having to wait for it to reconnect, so now one of the issues will be seeing if the software immediately kicks you out once internet access drops or if they provide you with a buffer time to reconnect.
The next major issue for me would be, what happens if there is an outage at foresight's servers. That would presumeably render your software unusable. If the outage was on myside and i can't use the software, that would be irritating but i wouldn't blame foresight, however if the outage was on their side and i can't play, i am really going to cheesed off.
So far, foresight doesn't exactly get high marks for implementing the online portion into FSX (look at online leaderboards, when was the last score posted?), so I am asking them to put me on a trial run of the online version first and then i'll decide which version to stick with.

Is there a reason to upgrade without a 4k projector? I don't plan on a 4k projector until the prices cone down significantly.

Bought congressional.
Course looks good.
As a general note, graphics look at lot better.
Play is quicker.
Layout of the gui is better.
Is it worth the upgrade? Don't know for sure yet...
But the thing I didn't like most about the performance software was the graphics.
I have just a 720p projector and it looks quite good.
No sound yet? Or I might have turned them off?
And I'm stuck in kiosk mode as I was playing around and now it's asked me for a code to exit it. Lol
Anyone else experience this?

Anyone figure out how to aim your shot on the mini map?
Before (on old software) you could click on an area and it would aim to that area. Only way I know to aim now is the left and right arrows.

There's a new version released this week where Foresight states that one of the improvements they implemented was allowing left clicking on mini-map to change directions.
Haven't gotten a chance to check it yet, but will do so this weekend.

They sent out an e-mail on the 6th. E-mail your rep at Foresight and he will send you the link.

An email was sent out. 2 in fact, since for the first one people made complaints about not being able to validate online (oh-oh) and the second email they sent out was a link to download a patched version that presumably works now.
And no, there is no sound on my software which makes you feel there is something missing...
