Champlain Golf Course

2014 season members were never given the opportunity to renew for 2015. No renewal applications were mailed out as in the past.
Has anyone heard what is going to happen at Champlain this coming season?

I heard that the management of Chateau Cartier had won a 20 year contract to manage Champlain.

I wonder if they are also going to manage Les Vieux Moulins, that was under the same management umbrella I believe. That may mean a big jump in price with no better maintenance if that is even possible

If someone could inject some $$$$ into this course it would be a gold mine. Location is perfect, layout is great, mature trees etc...
I know NCC owns the land and blah blah blah but would it not be nice if someone did.

The Lease with BBC Ltd expires the end of 2016. In the lease they have the obligation to operate the Golf Club. This information was obtained directly from the NCC Real Estate Management, Lease Section.

So the rumour of the 20 yrs lease with Chateau Cartier is false, no changes in the management.

I've been dreaming for years about seeing some money go into Champlain. A little would go a long way. It wouldn't hurt to turn the bog on the 19th into a little pond with a stone perimeter etc, make for a nice finishing hole.

The Champlain does not have a changing room nor any lockers, So if you are going to golf after work and if you have to change clothes then you have a couple choices:
1) Change clothes in the John (only one real John- the others are portable)
2) Change in your car if you are flexible
3)Change clothes before you leave work
4)Go to work in golf clothes
5) Change in the parking lot as shown in the picture above
6) Good luck taking a shower
