What direct ball reading add-on to a club reading simulator would you want?
If you could have just one direct ball reading parameter (like launch angle, ball direction, ball speed, ball spin) add-on to a club-reading only simulator (like Optishot) what would it be and why?

Ball spin, because it is the most difficult data parameter to measure economically. I can devise a system to measure launch angle by measuring the impact location of the ball on the impact screen. I can also get a device that can measure the ball speed for much less than trying to get equipment to detect ball spin. For example, I could get an Ernst Sports ES 12 or 14, or a Swing Caddies SC100 GPS Launch Monitor Cable Caddie that could detect/measure ball speed. With that information I could then input the LA and ball speed data from the extra equipment along with the ball spin and club data into Optimal Flight software to then produce ball modelling output data. The process would be slow and awkward to do, but I would have a fairly good confidence level in the output data that I would be receiving.

Ball Spin is more important than Launch Angle.

If I had to pick 1 ball parameter to add to Optishot it would be launch angle. The Optishot does an ok job measuring spin, spin axis and ball horizontal direction based on club face angle and path but has absolutely no way of estimating launch angle. So launch angle is what's missing the most for the Optishot. If your looking at what ball parameter is the hardest to measure or the holy grail of indoor simulation, I agree it's ball spin and spin axis.
