    Taylormade 580 - Real or fake?

    So here's one for the counterfeit spotters here. Is this 580 real or counterfeit?
    I don't see sloppy paint or obvious workmanship flaws. What else should one look for?

    You can give it the magnet test, it will stick to carbon steel but not titanium. It's a 10-15 year old club though...

    Good eye Alex. Yes, i also would say its the womens model. I dont think they would fake these given its older technology.

    I had one of those.....but men's version.
    They haven't started faking the TM then (at least not the Chinese and their quality control in the era was at best sketchy)....this is a 2002/2003 model and drives pretty long for her time. I think they do not meet the R&A specs because of the trampoline effect. Sweet driver to own and will keep up with newer drivers in distance if you are not into competition. Not sure about value though......

    The club is owned by a lady who is not competitive, so that's all good. She has had it for a while, but she was not sure it was genuine.

    I believe the 580 had a conforming and non-conforming version. The conforming one had lines in the centre on the face. The non conforming did not.
    I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.
