    Simulator/Launch Monitor options

    Hey all,

First off, I'm a 5 handicap and am new when it comes to all the types of simulators and launch monitors out there. I've been looking around extensively the past week or so on a simulator/launch monitor to put in my basement. Not looking for something overly expensive and am keeping to a budget of $2,000. I'm looking for something as similar to the GC2 without the price tag. The OptiShot and P3Pro are enticing but I'm not interested in hitting off a sensor mat. I would prefer to hit off my current mat to capture data (including ball spin and launch angle). Playing actual golf courses is not my largest concern as I just want to be able to see flight path on a range. I've liked the Vector Pro and it seems that it can be used with TruGolf's E6 software? I also just stumbled across the SkyTrak from SkyGolf yesterday and that seems like a good option as well. Any advice or other options would be great. Thanks.

Lots of info on Skytrak. Do a search here and on google. Read and ask qurestions. Its your final choice depending what you want and what yoiu are looking for (simulation, range only, putting-short game etc.).

With that budget, those pretty much are your only options. I think there is a golf achiever that is under 2k but you have to build your own platform which doesn't look as simple as one would think and finding data/reviews is more difficult.

You kind of really need to know what you want to get out of the system.

FWIW, i have all three you mention and i would take skytrak first even with it's current limitations and initial issues that they are working on. The big question with them is going to be simulation; provider, cost and putting.

No brainier. Skytrak. Buy it. You'll be glad you did.
