SkyTrak integrated with Simulation Software possible ??
Question.
Can you and how do you integrate a golf simulation software like a E6 (or cheaper variant) with a launch monitor (i.e. SKYTrak) to play a round of golf beside just driving balls down range during winter?
Any suggestions and advice.
Thanks

The simple answer is you buy the sim software from the hardware vendor once they support it.

Skytrak at he moment is saying no sim at the moment, but did announce they will be going the route of Truegolf's e6; however, mother have some issues to wok out first like putting and chips ( what is being referred to as a soft chip). No timeline announce yet and so likely should not buy the unit hoping that it will have a sim solution in the future as you could be waiting a long time.

Was going to purchase Skytrak with the discount as my first venture into the launch monitor market, but, after having spent a few hours in the local indoor sim facility using only the driving range(They have "About Golf" Sims) I dont believe that I would be happy unless I was actually playing rounds on sim courses, that along with the unknowns/Ipad Air/possible subscription fees/sim integration and lack of any real review, I'm going back on the fence.

I don’t understand the difficulty. The Vector launch monitors (the predecessor company of sorts of SkyTrak, although with the launch monitors based on different technology), which also has issues with putts and soft chipping, can be used with e6 and other sim software. If the data is there for the driving range it seems relatively simple to plug that into the sim software. I am admittedly speaking out of turn since I know little behind the mechanics but it doesn’t seem like a major issue.

The Vector Pro doesn't do putts and that is a "must have" for a simulation hence I guess there stems the technical difficulties. I think you will need to incorporate some kind of infrared sensor pad to enable putting a simulator to work......
That is just my guess..

Maybe, but it seems like the sims could just do auto-putt (sim puts for you), which is already an option on most sims.
