taking your stance..ouch
A painful question.
I attempted to back into a tree to take my stance. It was a very large thorn bush! Needless to say I leapt out from that bush wth a howl. Much to the delight of my friends!
So, I took a drop. My question is what is the ruling when a plant is injurious to your health? Especially that branch that was below waist level!
What would happen if it was poison ivy?
My guess is don't hit your ball near a thorn bush but I thought I would check.
thx

Unfortunately no free relief from the bush or the poison ivy.

This from the Decision below
Examples of actions which do constitute fairly taking a stance are:
- backing into a branch or young sapling if that is the only way to take a stance for the selected stroke, even if this causes the branch to move out of the way or the sapling to bend or break.
