Had coffee at Tim's yesterday with an old buddy. Mentioned that Bearbrook was looking good and under new management... "a couple from England". Said rough was cut and he could actually find his ball in it. $20/round. So what's the scoop? How is it? Greens, etc. Is it worth my/out time?

Don't think the "England " thing is true , I'm sure it's the original owners who have it back again , but the coarse is so much improved from say 2 -3 months ago , greens are all in very good condition

I would give the following to the course.
Greens: A++
Fairways B
Traps C
Rough A
Defines Fairways A
Tee Boxes B (3 and 17) need work

So back here to update the Bear....not much changed except for pretty nice greens,but traps like concrete,fairways like they always were,no one on course anywhere working.I would not be going back..I paid 18$ with RM,my buddy 25$.He was not too impressed,there you have it

not sure if I played a completely different course as most of you have mentioned but I went for my first play through in June and at $20 I left simply $20 poorer and having played 18 holes. I'm not going to go into the negatives but I rather spend the money at White Sands then to go back there. To each their own though!

White Sands is a beautiful course,but I for one am not challenged hitting my gap wedge for 9 holes.Play Bearbrook from the blue tees and it a challenge course.The greens are in great shape and for 20 dollars I don't see how you can complain.

Ok,from the blue tees its a challenge!! Played Nation most of the year and with RM 20$,and Bear does not even come close to being a good deal....

Eagle just out of curiosity how far do you hit your gap wedge. I have played White Sands plenty of times over the years and sometimes I play it with a friend of mine who I consider a very long hitter. Even for him hole number 7 he uses a long iron 4 or 5 I think and also a few other holes he uses mid irons. Also just for your info hole number 3 as a back tee box that is almost never used but makes the hole extremely difficult. Last thing like justdoit mentioned we play from the blues.
