Frustrated with practice modes (at least on GC2)

When I go to the range, I hit 1 ball to different targets. Sometime I hit 2-3 until I hit a good one, then go to another target. I never pump 30 shots at the same target, lots and lots of research shows that does no good.

So when I use my GC2, why am I limited to either dropping a ball on the fairway and hitting shot after shot at the same green, or just mindlessly hitting balls on the driving range?

Do any simulators have a practice mode where it either moves you around after each shot, or after each shot that lands within a specified yardage to target (Say 10')?

Lots of room for improvement here!

I believe the new version of the software for the GC2 has a Trackman like combine test, I recall Cory from PAr2pro talking about it.

I use the practice mode in my gc2 from many positions and really like the ability to go back to any course, any hole in practice mode. (right-click to drop in case you didn't see it in the book) I'd agree thought that practice mode with a game feel would be great. closer to the pin for example could be improved tremendously. it doesn't switch or remember players when I use it.
