I think that you would have more than enough room in your three car garage provided you ceiling height is good and the garage door rails don't interfere with your swing.

I think we need to see E61.6 first before seeing E6ii. I think 1.6 was supposed to ship this week, but have not heard.

E6 is way overpriced. This industry is a drag.

October 1st, and no new news. Has there been any feedback from Wyndham Championship? I didn't see any reviews from that weekend, which is surprising based on the way SkyTrak promoted that event. It worries me that it didn't impress at that event, or we would have heard something. Right?

I have not seen any reviews from the Wyndham - which seems strange.

skytrak got back with me today. apparently, they are anticipating taking pre-orders within the next 1.5 weeks. currently E6 for sim software, but they are looking at other options and are currently working on contracts and pricing. but, he didn't tell me which sim software options they are looking at...

Hopefully pre-orders don't last 3+ months before the product is shipped. And some objective data or reviews from our trusted posters would be nice.

Awesome nice update.
I will likely pre-order SkyTrak the day it is available. I'll buy into the hype but I'm not experienced enough to write a comparative review on accuracy with other systems but I'm sure zmax and bubba already have theirs done hehe.
Yes it would really suck if they took pre-orders and then the wait is months upon years without much update... but at least they would have some pressure to deliver if they take money. (assumption)

Hopefully if they are going to allow pre-orders, then we can see reviews shortly after from some current people "in the know".

Bubba uses those balls and has both Protee and Skytrak.

You can use them with Protee because you can add ball speed but it needs some fiddling and will never get 100% correct.
I use them with my Protee not prefect but enjoy the minimum noise and it is much safer to hit them indoor.
Will not make any sense on a LM as both LA and ball speed is lower.

Do you guys have insight into how these balls are constructed? I suspect initial velocity of such ball is identical to a regular golf ball and limited flight is a function of ball construction where it looses energy faster. If this is the case SkyTrak will measure it accurately despite ball flying in a limited manner whereas systems like Trackman won't.

That's what I was told about those balls. I tried them and it's true but they felt a little light in the hit and then a real ball felt a heavy. That's just my impression.

Did anyone see the latest video from TM on ball flight conversations. I don't think it will do anything with the limited distance balls described above, but it is amazing how many different types of balls that it will normalize to a premium golf ball.

They are definitely lighter. Initial ball velocity depends on which limited flight ball. You have Almost, BrushT, Callaway, World of Golf, Cayman, Point 5 etc. Trackman will measure it over longer period so numbers will be shorter. In my experience they all show lower speed and launch except Point 5, Cayman and Brush T balls.

Can SkyTrak be used by lefties? Do you somehow flip the unit around or is there a laser guide on the other side?

There is a laser guide on the other side. You can use as lefty.

One of these days a company/product will come along and know how to actually get a polished working product out the door with great software and a low price and just ruin everyone else.
Until then you just have to make the most out of what you have now.

Question is, will that day ever come? I was hoping skytrak would have been it. It appears some people seemed to now be turned off because of the E6 software. Is it really that bad/expensive for what you get. A couple of friends have GC2's and that software seems to be really expensive, only one course, driving range and fitting features.
