    Golf notes: Stricker named vice-captain of American Ryder Cup squad


    On Wednesday, Tom Watson announced that Steve Stricker - in the field this week at the PGA Championship - would be his third and final vice-captain for the American Ryder Cup team.

    Now this is a good golf story. Stricker is one of the really good guys in golf, and he desreves this opportunity.
    When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.
