    SGX vs G6

I have a Skycaddie SGX and enjoy using it except for the fees. I travel to the US and require a Double Eagle membership to be able to use all the features of the unit. Garmin G6 is on sale at GT. I was golfing with a buddy who has a Garmin watch and several times the numbers were different between the two GPS' and by several yards. I trust the yardage on my SGX, anyone have positive experiences with Garmin comparing it to other GPS' or lasers?

I haven't used the Garmins, but they get good reviews. The only thing to keep in mind, is anything above the G6, that shows 'plays like' yardage, is illegal for any tournament play. I'm not sure your index would be valid either if you are using these devices.

I use the uPro Mx+ was Callaway. I like it better than my SGX. The yardage is instant, and it's actual satellite images, not rendered.

I had a Callaway uPro Go and found on occasion the yardages were off, I haven't experienced that with my SGX. I'd pull the trigger on a Garmin but not sure after my round with my buddies watch (S3).

That's odd. I played with a guy using laser the other night, and my yardages were exact to his laser.

uPro Go is the older model from before Callaway bought uPro. Not sure if it uses the same map data.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

    Garmin vs. SkyCaddie

I have a Skycaddie SGX which I have used for the last 3 years. For Christmas, I got a Garmin G6. I can tell you without a doubt the Garmin kills Skycaddie. A much better GPS in every way. My SkyCaddie is in the closet collecting dust.

I was also feed up of the fee's, now life is good.
