Kanata G & CC
Had the great pleasure of playing the Kanata G & CC today with 'the lovely Mrs. O'. What a delight! Great conditions tee to green AND NOBODY ON THE COURSE!? Let a member through late in the game and questioned him as to why? He stated that it was 'a golfer's course' - busy in the early mornings and vacant normally in the afternoons. Hmmm???? I consider myself to be a golfer...and one with a pretty good index (11)? I play 100+ rounds per year and do so normally over 40+ different courses normally? and I would prefer to play in the heat of the afternoon as opposed to the early morning cool and rush? I will take the under 4 hour round on a beautiful course on a beautiful day without seeing another soul anytime??? I wonder what that makes me?
Tx Kanata G & CC! Will do that again...real soon!"If profanity had any influence on the flight of the ball, the game of golf would be a lot easier than it is" - Horace Hutchinson (1903)

Kanata was ALWAYS empty last year as well. I could play anytime between 2 and 5:30 PM, and have barely anyone on the course with me. With the exception of Men's Night of course.

A lot of people aren't fans of the course, unfortunately. Something about them slicing it into houses...

I played it years back and i hit a massive banana slice on a dogright par five that most definitely made it into the houses.

Kanata has lost a number of members over the last couple of years for a number of different reasons. It has always been a good course to be able to go out to later in the afternoon to get a round in.
