GC2 "Minimum space required / Floor Position" Information Needed!
Hi All,
I am looking to pull the trigger on a GC2 Launch monitor which would primarily be used in my apartment in the stupidly hot summer months here in Dubai.
Does anyone have any information and maybe even a diagram showing the optimum position that a GC2 Launch monitor should be placed in relation to the hitter?
Also how much of the ball flight does the unit have to read before making its calculations?
Being an apartment based systems space is of a premium and want to make sure I have my calculation's in order before I make the investment.
Regards
Kev

Look at the pdfs on the foresight website
http://www.foresightsports.com/en/su...vers-downloads
The bare minimum is enough space to swing using a driver, if you have that space, the gc2 will work.
Then other factors you would want to look at is:
1) ball bounce back, but that would depend on your hitting screen (type/tension/etc)
2) projector type, if space is a premium, you'll probably need to get a short-throw projector.

Thanks for the reply Yongchai, I stumbled across the PDF's soon after posting. It suggests 20 Inches from the club to the unit. Not sure on the Unit to the player relationship measurement but it looks a lot smaller than 20 inches.
I am using a net return Mini so bounce back is minimal. Not using a projector yet.

I have a room that is approximately 10' wide by 16' deep with the screen in the end of the room. That is probably the minimum i would use. I can swing driver... barely. Need another foot or two of width to be more comfortable.

Agree with DjPill... wouldn't go much less than 10' wide. You might be able to go with less than 16' deep; maybe 12' minimum. Just depends on what you're going to hit into.
My room is 12' wide x 17' and it feels comfortable. Another consideration is your ceiling height. 10' is ideal, you can scrape by with 9' but it will feel tight.
