Paint Fill for Wedges

Unsure if this is the correct forum or not....


Anyway!

Anyone know of a good place to get acrylic paint with fine metal tips on the bottles, for paint fill on clubs?

I'm looking to try it out with my Vokeys.

...or for a couple of bones you could nip to WalMart and buy some nail polish! Its cheap, works really well, easy to use and clean up if you make a mess. Just re-did my raw Vokeys and a TVD with white.
Although...my 14yr old daughter did think it was hilarious that dad was buying nail polish! lol

The Sharpie Pen would be good! I think the acrylic stuff with the metal tip similar to that Sharpie, would be ideal.

Wonder if the nail polish remover would do anything to the Raw Black finish on the new SM5??

Removing the existing fill by soaking in nail polish remover. That is, if I can find confirmation that the remover won't damage the Raw Black finish on the SM5. I know the ferrule has to stay far away from it....

Perhaps a petty and a many at a "me .... long time ! " spa for wedges would be the answer.

Don't know about that black finish. Mine are long time raw so there was no worry there.

BTW....a little acetone wipe is what makes ferrules shine.

Are they raw wedges with an oxidized finish on them? If they aren't plated with the black then there's a good possibility the finish would be affected if you are wiping it down, not 100% but a good chance.

I've had great success with the golfworks stuff in the past, there are also tons of great threads on wrx.com on this subject.

If this is an option, I may do that instead of risking the finish on the wedge. I wasn't sure if it would look sloppy or not, or adhere to the paint underneath.

it won't look sloppy, you won't even notice. when i have done it i haven't worries about even being too neat, i use my fingernail to scrape off any paint that was outside the lines so to speak.

I have repainted one of my Scotty's and I just use the enamel paint at Michaels, works like a charm.
