NEED HELP - Golf cage question

I want to build a cage that's 13 ft wide and the tubes are only 10 ft. That said, is it ok to cut the pipes down to 6.5 ft and use a connector at the mid-point? Will it be sturdy enough? I'm thinking of using 1" pipes and connectors. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. This forum has been very helpful so thanks in advance.

Definitely use the 1" pipe. I think on the length you should be ok, but would recommend using a high quality connector. Mine are about 10 inches in length and are made of high quality steel. Go to creativeshelters.com and look at their one inch connector, should be $6.

I think connecting at the midpoint should be fine.

No, they are using 1 inch EMT. Widely available at Lowes and Home Depot.
