Wholly crap, I was there on wednesday at 2 p.m. and it was full with a 40 bac-up on the first tee. If this is any indication, we are in for one very busy season. As for the course, it was not bad, a few spongy spots and the greens were spiked, perfect for the spring. nothing like a built-in excuse for missing tose easy putts! I eagled the par 5 5th hole so IMHO, it was a great day.

I am abidextrous, I once golfed right-handed and now I shoot left-handed just as badly!

Thats odd. Different course mind you, but on Thursday, Manderly was downright sparse. Never caught up to anyone. Great day for golf. Why would Nation be so crowded?

played yesterday... short par4s, long par 3s.

Dry fairway, which helped with the roll.
Greens are still rough with aeration.

The first two holes are doglegs and play over ravine, IMO, that causes the back up from the get go.

You're right. That first hole really causes problems because many people like to go for the green so you basically have to wait until the group in front of you finishes that par 4. As far as number two goes, it's a long walk up that hill to the landing area, which in turn really slows things down again.

    It's a good course, but I agree completely about the design of # 1 and # 2.
