OVGA Senior + Men's Match-Play
Anybody playing in this tournament? I am thinking about playing in this to warm up the hands for Belleville
How is Greensmeere looking so far this year? I would be walking into this blind as I have only played it once in the past 5 years!

Played Greensmere Legacy course today and it was in very good shape. Only one green with some winter damage but lots of green available away from it. Only one fairway was wet (#14). This should be a really good match play course.

Dude you're like 25, you have to be 55 to play the Senior Circuit

Am playing in the senior division and second Gerry's comments that Legacy is good condition and a lot drier than expected. As proven when we hosted the City and District A Championship in 2012, Legacy is an unforgiving course for those who hit the ball long and crooked, and agree also that it is an excellent match play venue for those who qualify for the round of 16.

When I saw it was bad for the long hitters I was thinking....yeaks!! Do you still hit it a long, long, long way?
Good luck!!If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

I'm an idiot. Gerry has picture proof of this.

Trying to follow results by Flagstick and BlueGolf scoring is difficult. Data is there and then it disappears. Were semi-finals completed yesterday (18 holes) or is it 36 holes?
Not sure if gbower can shed some light on format and results.

Semis and finals will be played today (36 holes), yesterday was the first round and quarters (36 holes).
I agree, the bracket is a bit hard to follow @ http://quebec.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/...eaderboard.htm, but basically the results under a persons name is what the result was from the last match.

Today for the final round the bracket on the leaderboard was getting updated after every hole. I would radio the results in and the computer updated. Robert Mustard ended up winning the "A" match play 5 & 4 and Tom Hossfeld won the Senior division 6 & 5. Both players that won were throwing darts at some difficult pins. Fun to witness. With the wind gusting the playing conditions were tough but when you're good you're good. Good event that we have to get more players out to for the qualifying. The field for the seniors had only 4 strokes difference between the 1st and 16th player.
