The DIVA Foundation Golf Classic 2014

The DIVA Foundation, founded in 1997, is a national not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to advancing, rewarding, and celebrating breakthrough achievements that improve the health and well-being of women.
The DIVA Foundation Golf Classic will kick off with a barbeque lunch. This will be followed by an 18 Hole Mixed Scramble, taking advantage of Cedarhill Golf and Country Club’s par-70 layout, topped off by a delicious dinner and silent auction. Many prizes will be available to be won in both female and male categories.

• 11:00 a.m. Registration and BBQ Lunch
• 12:30 p.m. Shotgun Start
• 5:30 pm Silent Auction including a Membership in the RM Golf Club
• 7:00 pm Dinner and Lots of Prizes

Due to the inclement weather and the late spring in Ottawa, the DIVA Foundation has postponed its Golf Classic until next year. We will, of course, proceed with our other fundraising initiatives.The next one is our Night at the Races and Silent Auction in October 2014.

In 2012 the DIVA Foundation Board of Directors decided to offer its' health education Speakers Series free of charge to all attendees. DIVA used a large part of its' fundraising reserve to provide high level learning opportunities to women (and men) because it is committed to quality, equally accessible and affordable health education for all women.

So the "health education Speakers Series" is a fundraising activity? If its advancement of education, I would think it should fall under line 5000, charitable programs.
