Believe me, there was no looking ahead. It was just an observation from the previous tournaments.

Still haven't heard a word from my opponent, and I don't think I will be in town next weekend. What's the protocol if we aren't able to play?

• Scheduling
  • The players mutually agree on a time and place to play.
  • There will be no deadline extensions. No exceptions.
  • If no date can be found by the deadline one player will have to forfeit. If you cannot agree on which player should forfeit – both players must forfeit. The committee will not mediate as to who is more responsible for the scheduling conflict.
  • If a player is non-responsive, attempts to contact the individual should continue until the final week of the round. A claim should then be made by the player making said attempts. The committee will review these claims.
  • Schedule forfeits will only be accepted on the final week of competition once all other options have been exhausted

Well if we don't hear from The Drunk Mulligans or GripnRip by the end of the day today they'll both forfeit round 2.
Bogey boys would move on to the finals without swinging a club. Ridiculous, but there you have it.

I just got tired of waiting.

Hey Dan, not so fast, we played the first round to get down to 8 teams and it was not easy!!! I have no idea why these people sign up when they clearly do not care or have the availability, that is the ridiculous part.

At this point it is doubtful my match will happen. Despite multiple PMs and an email, I have not heard from my opponent.

There remains a slim possibility that I might be able to play late on Sunday if I do hear back, but I am not holding my breath.

I will keep you apprised if the situation.

Ok, I am calling it. I have done my best to connect with by opponent, but to no avail. I'm not going to cut one of my few weekend at the cottage short on the off chance that he comes out of the woodwork between now and then. Would have liked to play, but it takes two to tango.

It was a weird match. Some very good back and forth for the first 15 holes. The last three were a contest of who could trip over themselves.
