Didn't make it out myself, was playing a local municipal called the beach though, a little soggy. Good signs for the summer.

If some courses are going to open early, hopefully no temporary greens with regular season green fees!

Think * course at pineview will win out at 20 for me.With the price of gas factored in,Casselman at 39 isn't working .

All this makes me think it is wise to stick close to home, play Lombard at $22 ,Smiths falls and Rideau lakes should be open soon, all decent coarses with out the crowds and good value

Wise to not play till June. Invest the savings in the stock market.
You only get out of something what you put into it

Played Calabogie on April 18th, wet fairways and shaggy greens but great to play my first round in 6 + months.

Presscott greens are exceptional as usual for this early. Wet in a few spots but overall good.

Played Mapleview today and in great shape for early in the season. Super dry and greens were rolling good. I think it's well worth the drive and not very crowded today.

Played Champlain, I've seen the course with a heck of a lot more water in the spring, but it's still a bit on the wet side. Most of the greens are punched, no ball washers etc... 2 for 1 deal though

Played Lombard this morning, quite impressed with the greens. Some standing water on a few fairways but all in all very good early spring golf.
Perfect weather as well

Played manderley North South and it was in good condition. Greens were rolling well and not as many wet spots in the fairway as I expected. Weekday rates and a 2 for 1 green fees for next month, during the week so good deal.

Did Arnprior today. Scary good shape considering the winter we had. One temp on #3. Fairways are 9/10, greens overall were about a 7.5. They were cut, rolling well but some had more punch marks than others.
All in all, worth the drive.

Played Nation today. Course is dry and in good condition. Greens a tad slow but true and in great shape. A little pricey at $39 for this time of year but used last year's coupon and played for $22.00 with tax.

Renfrew is open today, I plan on heading over this evening, and I'll post in Spring Conditions. It is a course that really drains well, so I'm already optimistic.
