Medicus - driver. Is it worth the money?

Do I get a new driver or keep my existing driver and just improve my swing. I've tried the medicus at a store and didn't think much of it, but over time would it actually groove a good swing? ANy thoughts?

I bought mine used on this forum for $90 I think. I like it...it has really helped me with my tempo especially.
    I wouldn't pay $200 though...that is a LOT of post round Stellas!

You'd be much better off spending the money on a lesson from a good golf instructor.
The Medicus is just like any other gimmick thingy guaranteed to improve your golf swing. You'll play with it for a few weeks, accomplish nothing, and then it will sit in a corner of the garage until your next yard sale.

I had the 5 iron for a couple of years and it did improve my tempo. It is a good tool and you have to use it a few times during the season.Worth spending below 100.00 for sure.

Thanks for the feedback...I think I'll look for a used one at Play-it-again sports or ottawagolf and go from there. Golftown offers sort of a free lesson with club(s) purchase, or more of a free-fitting for a driver if you buy one there. They analyse your swing and pair you up with a driver based on speed, launch angle, etc. but I need to fix my swing, not the club.

Maybe try a Whippy Tempomaster. I find this one very useful and use it every 2 or 3 sessions at the range. If you are quick in the transition or coming over the top, this one will tell you.

The Medicus driver is designed to break down when swing flaws are detected in six different parts of the golf swing. Unless you have used a Medicus driver, you probably do not know for sure if you have any swing flaws. The Medicus driver will help you to become better at your game.

I have one, used it a few times the first year I bought it and it did seem to help, but have taken it out since that first season. I would say buy it used if you want to give it a try.

It keeps your swing on plane, and prevents fast takeway, and promotes better tempo. If you don't need any help with this, then, no, don't buy one.

I have both 5 iron and driver and use them more in spring time than during the season to try to re-educate the old brain after the winter layoff.
