    Short throw projector

Well I'm finally getting down to the short strokes on my golf simulator setup, but I'd still undecided on a short throw projector. I need a projector that cast a 12'8' wide image, that is 9'6" high, in a 4:3 aspect ratio, which can be ceiling mounted in the 12' to 16' range. HD capable would be nice, but sufficient lumens are probably even more import.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Panasonic Pt VX 400. Has 4000 lumens and may be a perfect fit at 16' from screen or thereabouts. Have used many and they work great.

Just watch out if you order cross border as you may have duties, customs fees and expensive shipping. USD items will be difficult to warranty in Canada as well. Also verify your specs on projector central with the company website and even call as they are not always correct.

Have a look at the Optoma X306ST. (Note that there is also a W306ST - it is not 4:3)

In my market it was one of the few ST projectors available.

    BenQ MX620ST

So I ended up ordering a BenQ MX620ST, cast the 12'8" image I want from 12'5", with 23 FL, and in 4:3 native aspect ratio, which I also wanted. I just ordered, so it should be interesting to see what it's like when it gets here.

    Thanks for all your help.
