This weather makes me want to gouge out my eyes with a forged wedge. I'm glad I managed a short trip to Myrtle Beach a month ago, as it seems like it's gonna be at least another month 'til things clear up here.

Things are not looking good for us here, I will keep my fingers crossed for mid april. Fortunately, I had the chance to play some golf while in China last week. Great early spring conditions in Beijing.

11 days to Myrtle Beach, bring it.
    Obviously you're not a golfer.

Decided to make the best of it this weekend and went skiing in Tremblant. 30cm of new snow Thursday evening, and another 15cm fell throughout the day Saturday. Those of you who have tee times up there in late June/July may want to reconsider, or start sourcing some neon balls you can find in the snow.

    Unreal... END ALREADY!

We had -30C this morning... and now 30 cms for Thursday and Friday... It seems to be getting worse...
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

I am one to offer up some optimism, take a look at todays screenshot in Syracuse, already lots of snow gone in just a few days, we can clearly see grass!! Check out the difference and with temps at 12, 6, 9, 12, 12, it should be even better and open by mid April , I will show another screen shot next week

What bugs me the most...Americans can go live in places like Nevada,Arizona,New Mexico,Hawaii,St Croix,Puerto Rico if their finances allow them to,what do we have here in Canada. There was talk years ago of Turks and Caicos becoming part of Canada, where did that idea go to.

I think the problem is if Canadians were given the option to move to a tropical climate so many would be down there the island would sink.

I agree though, I work from home with a global company and after spending 5 weeks in Florida a few years ago while my wife was on mat leave I wonder why I deal with this crap for 6 months in he year.

Think about it,Turks and Caicos becomes part of Canada, the snowbirds could go there and spend into the Canadian economy instead of helping boost the US economy,we could retire in Caicos year round.I guess I am dreaming in technicolor eh !

Scientists now tell us that compulsive gamblers get their emotional reward not from winning, but from anticipation of winning. Their best time is just before they know the result of the play. So the longer they wait before knowing the answer, the better. I have noticed that my opinion of my skill as a golfer is low during the season, and begins to rise when the courses close. Over the winter, I can watch golf on TV, watch videos of tips, read this forum and convince myself that I have it all figured out and next year will be the year I own every course I play. The longer the time from my last game, the better I feel. As spring approaches, I get the same buzz a gambler must get, bursting with the excitement of the upcoming long straight drives, darts to the green and 30-foot putts. This pleasurable excitement only lasts until I hit my first bucket of balls on the range; then it's all over til snow falls again the next autumn. So this long winter may be the best we will ever feel about our golf games. Enjoy the anticipation.
