    Almostgolf balls and GC2

I have my net, mat and the GC2 will be here today!

I tried some golf ball practice shots and my hardwood floor is really loud when the balls hit it..yes..blankets are there

How do almostgolf balls work with the GC2? I think the wife would be happy if they worked and gave good ball flight data!

The PW was not bad for overal distance but as you went to longer clubs you lost a lot of yardage. It may have more to do with the ball spin and with less spin (with almost balls) the calculated carry is less. There is a 5 point golf ball that is harder plastic and makes a louder noise but is a lot closer for ball flight but the ball wears with burrs forming and then would create spin issues with older balls.

Depending what software you use you may be able to tweak. In the Protee software for the GC2, they have a separate interface that lets you adjust the Driver, woods, irons, and wedges as all separate sliders so you could bump the irons and woods and leave the wedges lower. Also you can adjust spin as well for the above. I have not tried this as I tend to use real balls so that I get the most accurate flight. With Foresight software you can only boost all clubs or none.

I would suggest something else. Use real golf balls, but put those puzzle piece pads on the floor that you can get at lowes or Home Depot.

I added more blankets near the base and that solved the problem. I may also try those tiles at Home Depot...good idea!

Almost and gc2 don't go. Use brush t from memory..they read correctly. There is a thread somewhere.

Can confirm that almost golf balls work well with PW and my sand wedge it was registering around 110 the same for regular golf balls. I haven't used a long club yet with them..this brush t I am not familiar with....

CPA...thanks...ordered them. I am trying to keep the wife happy and regular golf balls hitting an exposed space of hardwood floor on the rebound makes her frown at best. Do the Brush Basic numbers match real golf balls? Are they a bit safer than real golf balls?

Thanks...now the wait for them to arrive!

The only thing these balls ruin is the feel of hitting a real ball and subsequent effect on swing.. Make sure you use real balls when wife at hairdresser's.
