The OFFICIAL OG/TGN 2014 Ryder Cup thread!

Okay, here we go!

1. Venue - Trillium Wood, Belleville

2. Dates - June 7 & 8 (with the usual "practice round" on the 6th)

3. Teams - 16 per side, with possible expansion to 20 if numbers permit. Preference, as in years past, will be given to last year's players first, and then top up with other interested players as needed. A hard date will be set for confirmation of returning players.

4. Format - No changes. Saturday, 36 holes. 18 better ball and 18 alternate shot. Sunday, 18 singles.

5. Handicaps - RCGA caps required, otherwise you play at "scratch".

6. Team Shirts and Hats will be mandatory this year. I'm working on a deal, and I want us to look like a team.

7. Accommodations and Saturday dinner - TBD

8. Deposits - $100 per player. Non refundable if you no-show. Due date May 3rd

You should have aimed for clubhouse for every shot after you took down Brian 8-6. Of course the way you were shooting you would have killed the entire staff and still birdied half the holes. :p

I did try to put one in the trees, unfortunately the riccochet put me dead centre of the fairway and inside 200 yards. And in Brian's defence, it was only 7&6

Wow, been away for a while and I am a little disappointed to see that we succumb to the Handicap Issue. It's funny because when Carl and I got clobbered by Albatross and his 18 cap everything was fine and dandy, but once they started losing it wasn't fun anymore.

I've been reading on here and TGN and I fully agree with Mpare and Big Johnny, the flight system will mostly help the low cap guys, TGN complains that we field a higher cap team and yeah that is true, but that's because most lads we have go down to Belleville and spend 500$ in a weekend to have fun, go to bed when the sun goes up and play golf with the lads for FUN! If they are so stuck up on bringing low cappers and even Feather Baggers, than that is there issue!

Rich, i know you have a tough task in front of you, i've been there, but I know that with these changes, filling up the roster will be hard, very hard! In the end I hope you guys are successful and kick ass tho! Represent OG!!!

Yessir. I called it last year. With a 4 year old and a 3 month old at home its a little hard to get away plus we booked a campsite for the whole summer this year!
