Im not sure if they are doing this on purpose these days but the turf on my sensor mat has been trimmed quite a bit- and there isnt much
just behind the ball- there is actually a hole there right in the center between the sensors that they didnt put a tuft of turf in - and its uneven- looks nothing like the pictures.

Tharn are you referring to the reset sensor? Post a picture!

Bubba22 discovered a problem with the Short Rough at Ledge Rock. Short rough appears to be using green bunker penalties. They should be able to fix this in the interface.

Off topic but I've got a dead sensor on my clubhead path sensor bank. Machine is about a year old and likely under warranty but would hate to have to send it away for repairs. I thought someone mentioned before they replaced dead sensors. Anyone know where to get them?

No. You can actually tell it looks dead. The tiny shinny ball is kind of grayish. I tied cleaning but the debug show sensors screen shows this sensor as activated. I disabled the sensor and the club readings seem fine.

Stuck red sensor? Have you tried compress air in a can? Don't use a towel or q-tip.

Yes it's stuck. I tried air. The small plastic part that hold the tiny silver ball looks damaged as well. Not sure what happened.

If its not debris, and is a sensor, they may just send you a new unit. When i bought mine it initially was malfunctioning and they just sent me a new one. When i received it, i just packed up the old one in the same box and sent it back.

Sensor needs to be replaced. Unless you're a skilled solderer, don't try it. I've worked on them. PITA... if its not effecting the club readings, just leave it disabled.


If you're doing the warranty replacement, have them ship the bad unit to my house.

ill post a pic on my sensor turf soon- just wanted to test shots more after updating the settings file-
again- I did not have these lines in the file:

so I typed it in my self- it states im running the latest beta- so im not sure if it was suppose to be in there
or not-
my shots seemed accurate until i hit pitching wedge- I know i was hitting it straight but the shots kept going hard right or hard left-
the club face was in line- but it stated the ball was going off in a 22 to 30 deg angle. even though the ball hit the screen straight in front of me.
Maybe the V cam- i double checked its in line- Is it the settings PT5 on the V cam that affects this or is it because i put the lines in the settings file myself-?

I can get a errant readout occasionally. When this occurs I look at the HCAM and 99% of the time I see where the streak was mis read as a reflection off the club face. IF you hold your face open thru the shot it can be mistaken for the ball steak. I tweaked my raster and sensitivity to help minimize this but I still get a wild shot once in a while....fyi, not sure if it made a difference but I recently switched to PT5 for HCAM and that seems to have reduced mis hits.....

may have found something else that was wrong= I went into cam devices and fps was max- i lowered this and too off auto- lowered shutter- -it appears i had a serious reflection on h can- now its much better- also the v cam was real dark- i had these tweaked before i re installed- forgot to re do it- going to test now.

Right, and take a look at your hcam capture to see if the face of the wedge is about the same 'color' as the ball streak..your cam may be using the clubface as it's recorded ballstreak....I can always tell if that is the case becasue things will be going great and then out of the blue a wedge will take off violently to the right (7-13 degrees)....fyi, I am a lefty so for you I would predict left angle errors.....

This may have been asked and answered but for some time now I have wondered if the course (game) selection has any effect on the ball speed and/or distance?

I ask because I can practice on the range and get my 7 iron to be very consistent and then I go to a course and it behaves well but then another course I may see a 10% increase in distance (carry). I realize I could be the issue but generally (outside) I am pretty consistent with my carry distances. Today, I played a swedish course and my 7 iron was showing carry distances of 160-170.....my range numbers were 145-150.

I have wondered if perhaps there was any 'code' buried in the course design or is everything base on the interface settings?

Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy?

No other than the terrain , slope, roll, wind, up hill vs downhiill etc will all affect the carry in the real game. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples from the range to the course.

does the fps and shutter have to be set also in fly capture- ? I was able to modify it through the interface and I could see the image change while I did it.
bubba- not sure what your question is exact- I am h cam for h-cam and v cam for v- in the interface.
the v cam is flipped because its on the left- but the v cam reads fine- its the h cam im having trouble with.

its probably due to me adding lines in the settings file- even after loading and exiting interface i still did not have those lines- so i added them myself.

it didnt take- i didnt have anything running while installing--

wth- I went to install it - got a msg saying i am attempting to install something already installed- i didnt proceed- but i didnt exit it either - about 10 seconds later the msg went away and the interface opened- it said 2.96k19b on the top of the window-
so i exited out and opened the settings file- but that still says 2.96k19

I also loaded updates 37 38 b and 40 c when I did this the first time

ok - i removed the interface program completely- defragged restarted- ran installer again- and its there now.

ill go change the lines to the proper numbers now-
the last time it was installed just on c drive too- and i was missing files- this one went to c-program files...

all shots are good- only thing now is the red line and box are not appearing in the v cam settings to point the cam-
i havent moved it so its still inline- but it would be nice to have.
anyway was hitting 85 yard wedges into a green at the manor- and it felt pretty darn realistic.
thanks for seeing that the interface was not updated-- I probably should have uninstalled and cleaned up before installing the beta--

I'm not directing this towards anybody but I think it needs to said. The Protee is a very realistic system. Setup can be mooth and quick when its done correctly. Most problems occur due to improper camera installations, incorrect lighting, or software mistakes.
