sorry guys- my son had his christmas concert at school- and when we got back I - i was still testing- and played 9 holes and still... cant get my driver to go anywhere.(Until I figure this out- I would be seriously holding your round back)
i know sometimes i wasnt hitting it with everything- but the times i Know I hit it solid the ball still only went 195 or so- in the fairway..all other drives were like 170. I have the fairways set at 165 and greens at 100 like you stated in the online play settings- my 3 wood is going 200- what the hell is wrong with the driver? I saw in the interface the ball settings- they are all at 1. is this where you change the number to add some distance if needed?
I did go into network play to see how that worked- is it working that simply? someone hosts and their name will appear- you join em and launch? Or do you guys go direct with IP#

everything else is working almost flawlessly- graphics way better/ frame rates way up- ball readings accurate(except for drives distance) or maybe I whimped out a bit over the years...

Okay, looks like I am just plain cursed and it makes me curse and not want to play at all. I don't know what it is, but my settings will not stick. I can make it read my clubs, but then my settings change and I don't realize until I try playing and it misreads a shot and I see it's not where I saved it. I go into the interface to verify my settings, make minor changes then exit, hit preview... When I hit preview, gain goes to zero. Nothing stays the same except shutter. Auto is unchecked. I tried everything. Saving, exiting, re-doing over and over. What am I missing? All settings are saved into the camera memory.

After changing the frame rate, the gain will go back to zero. Just go back in and change gain back to where its suppose to be. Hit apply and exit, but don't hit preview. Only hit preview when you want the new frame rate to take affect.

The frame rate can drift with some cameras or computers. As the frame rate increases, the shutter might decrease.

Driver short carry fixed. Need to set driver BS and drag back to default then check it.

Short and long rough penalty detection. Test this out on Ledge Rock.

After this, all that's left is gear torque adjustments. Any other issues or ideas?

I think that's the firmware I had and had big problems with it on one of my cams (not that I don't still have big probs-looking at stuff now). Current version is 1.6.3.0.

After just playing with the settings a bit, I found the gain issue to be as you explained it. I just did it the way you said to and hope that works. Can't play right now, but will try later tonight and see if it sticks.

If I still find my FPS "drifting" is there anything I can do? I thought I fixed that issue a week ago. Pcase recommended using only memory spot #1--maybe it saves it better there? I think I was using #1 when it was working better, but on #2 recently. Anyone else have that experience?

You're were only suppose to use memory channel 1.

If it's drifting 1 or 2, there's really nothing you can do. Just check it before you play. If it's drifting a lot while playing, something's wrong. And don't go hitting preview unless you have detection issues.

Otherwise use another camera. Can't understand why we have to be technical gurus just to use a very expensive simulator. Do the goods out weigh the bads with Protee? Just barely.

Would be nice if they had the tools on the Protee site but there might be copyrights issues with that approach?

I have had lots of strange issues with cams and even the sensor pad. After I changed the motherboard to a high end gaming type all the cam issues has gone away.
Updated the firmware in one of the cams but did/do not see any difference.
Not saying that your issues are Usb related but this is where you should look first.
Might be worth to go down to 320X240 res on the cams to see if the problems goes away.
Or /and try with one of the cams at the time at 640 x 480.
You should do a remote session with Dennis/ Protee if that doesn't work.

Just did the update to the new k23 interface. I reran the v40c just in case (couldn't see it in my download history). Directx was up to date. Getting that same funky hcam reading that Tharn got - red line starts in upper left corner and then picks up the final ball location. Was all working ok before the update. Any ideas there?

What the heck. I had walked through that initial posting and made all the changes to settings. Somehow I must have made a bunch of those changes to a backup settings file since they didn't get into the active settings file. Just noticed that in looking at the posting - had made all those changes before and they aren't shown. Not sure what I did there. Will give it another try once I kick my son off of Call of Duty. D@mn triple home theatre - golf sim - xbox station setup!

You can make those changes from the interface now. ALT E to bring up the settings file editor.

Get the same if I do PT4 on the H-cam
PT5 works fine but prefer PT3 on the H-cam for the alignment.

Played Linfield National with some buddies. Awesome course but there seems to be issue with rough around the greens. Appears to be penalty factor of bunkers. Not sure if it like tis everywhere but happened a few times for sure.

Are you sure it was linfield? People have reported that it doesn't even load but just crashes. Check it again. Make a note of what the "Lie" says. It might say something other than Rough. Let me know.

Sorry it was ledgerock not linfield. The rough penalty is applied to roughs labeled short rough and medium rough but no long rough. Linfield doesn't open for me either.

Short rough and medium rough should be the same as rough. It was acting as bunkers before. So that appears to be fixed. I will check long rough. It should act as deep heavy rough.

Just checked and your right that Ledgerock short rough is acting still like a bunker. Will get that fixed.
