Ok guys, I got it out of my system, I played the Gatineau yesterday. They love having the reputation for being first to open but sometimes its better to let the reputation sink a bit. It was very soggy and almost unmaneuverable in some fairways with a large lake on #8 (between the rolling mounds) and still a lot of snow around the greens where it was blown off. Still, it felt great to be out there and your green fee allows you to play another round before mid-may. Spring golf at its bestest, I mean wettest. I am returning on Sunday and bringing my camera, I want a nice shot of the green, the flag and the snow around it, classic Canadiana.

Anyone trying the nation today, please let us know how it was, I know it drains very well.
