golf improvement

do any of you want to improve? heres an idea: instead of trying to work on your swing try to get the ball in the hole in fewer strokes each time you play. that way, you improve every time you play. that's what golf is about anyway. it was never about swinging correctly or having picture perfect backswing positions. I bet when the scots invented golf they said to each other:

"whoever gets this wee rock into that wee hole over there in the fewest strokes gets the ale for tonight!"

did they say "whoever has the perfect golf swing motion gets a drink tonight?"

No. instead, they whacked a rock into a hole. it was entertaining so they did just that.

Whats golf really about? swinging properly? or whacking a white rock into a hole in the fewest strokes possible? discuss as you will.

I was trolling before on my other posts yes but I was being foolish and if you would forgive me it would be appreciated. I was being immature. don't think that i'm not serious when I say this.

Once again discuss as you will on improvement. and a note on this it takes a bit of time. don't think its some quick fix because if it was everyone would be great golfer over the weekend.
