Vector Pro + e6 software
I have confirmation that this combo will work, but does anyone have any first hand experience with it?

Perhaps, but you realize you can't chip or putt. A lot of soft shots as well will not register. You would need say the Trugolf sensor mat for that.

I figured no putting, but no chipping either? Also, is there a way in e6 to have it score a 2 putt once someone hits the green?

Not on my E6. You can select Autoputt and the computer will randomly give you a 1,2 or 3 putt. Imagine!!! As if we ever 3 putt. Yes with Vector you will not be able to chip and pitch so those soft wedg shots dont get registered. I would not suggest this. Why do you wanna go this route?

Primarily price. I floated the idea of the several thousand it would cost for a complete protee or trugolf set up the other day and it didn't go so hot . Maybe the P3Pro is my best option.

Cory has a refurbished vector pro for $2,100 and sells the base e6 software for $1,200. I have seen used vectors on ebay go for as low as $600.
I'd love to find a used protee. If you come across any, please let me know!

If you just want to hit balls then go for it. Just understand your limitations with this setup. Check eBay for used systems or try ProTee directly.
