Hole in one insurance using a Simulator.
Does anyone know if a legit company will insure a hole in one contest on a simulator? So far I have had little luck getting a good answer..
If not I may give the top 5 closet to the pin competitors a voucher which will give them a shot at a large price using a real golf course.. I would have to have the course agree and set a date prior... Everyone who plays at an event I host over say a 6 month period could get a chance to win up too 1,000,000..
At a real course I know I can get that coverage reasonable and legit.. Cost depends on the amount of contestants and hole rating..
I may just do 100,000 my first year just to make sure everything balances..
Thoughts?
Thanks
Kevin

Never heard of it in a simulator setting. If I were the insurance company, I would be worried that someone could tamper with the electronics to produce a hole in one, ie fraud!

Yeah...with my integration program and with wind turned off, I would be able to just type in different shot parameters and keep tweaking until one finally goes in. Then i'd have the shot parameters to force through on the respective hole to produce one at any time. Hmm...now that I think about it, I might do that the next time I have friends over to play...i'll make some ridiculous bet with them for a huge payoff if I get a hole in one...then i'll let my program do its thing. This is fantastic...my new retirement funding plan! Thanks xdreamgolf!

When I ran my comp they said they would look at it but I didn't follow up. Lloyds of London are the underwriters. They wanted to know which system etc. Sure if you used software that was untouchable, ie foresight and it was filmed and no touching of computer they may do it.

Anything can be hacked when it comes to computers. I would be very surprised if any insurance company would agree. But who knows, maybe.
