Personal Pro Golf
Personal pro golf sim. http://personalprogolf.com/. It essentially is the Holiday Golf sim but in a smaller package to compete with Optishot and P3pro. So another option for lower budget sim. Launch angle cam also available at $800, ouch! 10 courses that are photo based.

Interesting.... wonder how they read ball speed or is it related to club speed and then estimated.

Ball speed is measured by the sensors in the small slots in front of the tee similar to the golftek device I believe. Not sure how accurate that would be. Price is decent but LA is ir based last I checked. If would be interesting if its camera based. They have a relation with trugolf so E6 II is a possibility.

That would be a bonus for actual ball speed.
Also if they say they read face angle you should not need to input what club you are using or would you? Also I assume you would need to hit a real ball to get accurate ball speed.

You still need to select the club since spin is estimated. The software might allow for increasing the ball speed for limited flight balls.

Your right ZMax. I think the launch is measured by a camera. Check out the brochure on their web page http://holidaygolfusa.com/

I stand corrected. LA is now measured by an optional camera. $1299+800 is not bad.

There also looks like another forward sensor that measures ball horizontal azimuth and also used for putting. Not sure the cost of that add on. As well I think Red Chain can be purchased. Again not sure the cost?

Lol, you guys are so fast... I went to post a new thread and saw you already started it for this one
I just ordered one today. Looks like the price is going up to $1499, but we will do some testing on it to see how it fairs and post the results here later this fall (or sooner if possible).
Cheers,
Cory

LOL, yup...
The goal is to have one of every system and setup a shop where customers can come down and try them out for themselves
Getting there, so far I have:
Swingbyte2
3Bays GSA
Swing Speed Radar
ES12
Unex
Optishot
P3Pro
Personal Pro (on its way)
GSA PX2
TruGolf Trainer
TruGolf Tru-Track full
ProTee ELP
Accusport Vector Pro
Flightscope X1Tbox - not working yet
GC2 w/HMT
Sports Coach HSC
Full Swing w/LS3
And have local affiliates with
Trackman
Full Swing (w/E6)
aboutGolf
Still need to find some local friends with:
Flightscope X2
HD Golf
Visual Sports Systems
And possibly some of the other ones like ParT, Dead Solid, IST, OptiGolf, GolfBlaster, XGolf, etc.
If anyone wants to know about the ones that I have or would like to share the ones that I am looking for, feel free to email me any time at cory@par2pro.com.
Cheers,
Cory

Cory
did you have a review somewhere on the Sports Coach system. A guy locally is selling them and I do not remember what the details on accuracy were. It is being promoted well so just curious.

Hey bubs,
I haven't released an official review, but we have had the Sports Coach system in our demo center for a few years and the general consensus is that it is a great system for the money. The main pros are:
1. Easy to use (no club taping, ball marking, or club selection required)
2. Accurate
3. Good direct measurements & feedback (club face angle, swing path, swing speed, ball speed, ball direction, launch angle, etc.)
4. Good course selection & lots of features / settings
5. Durable - since there are no sensors in the floor or beside the ball, there is less chance of damaging the system
The main drawbacks are:
1. Graphics - while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the average feedback has been that the graphics are about average. Now the big news here is that they are working on an integration with E6 & E6II sofftware!
2. Support - some questions / repairs we have had to wait a while longer due to the manufacturer being in the UK. Although we have learned a lot in the years we have had it running and have been able to support our clients a lot better
3. Requirements - specific computer, specific overhead lighting, specific turf, and at least one black side wall is required as the cameras are very sensitve.
4. Multi-surface - the area where you can hit off of is limited, so you can't just throw any type of hitting mat there; however, we have had success with our RT990 turf, divot action mats, etc. but if you want a true multi-surface, you will have to shell out just under $1000 for a rough, sand & fairway hitting panel.
There are some other considerations, but those are the main points. If you have one nearby, I would highly recommend checking it out.
Cheers,
Cory

Have you had a chance to test out the Personal Pro?
-
11-26-2013 01:13 PM #21
Unfortunately no - right now is the busiest time of the year, so I am completely focused on helping my customers.
PS: I have tried a couple of times on a couple of computers with Windows 7 and was not able to get the courses going, so the owner is going to do a remote session when I have time again (probably not until late December or early January).
PPS: The software will only run in 1024 x 768 resolution.

I am interested to see your review of this sim, Cory, as well as the TruGolf Trainer.
I hope you find time in the near future to do some reviews.

Any reviews on this system?
-

I have tried it on 3 different computers and was not able to get the courses working...
They sent me the latest software recently and are sending me the optional launch angle camera and new software option (RedChain with 30 courses).
Hopefully all will come within the next couple of weeks and we can test it all together (assuming we can get it all working). Then I will post a video of course
Cheers,
Cory

I saw on an Auction for $1499 that it reads:
"The True Swing™ Analyzer sensors pick up the club head speed, angle, and direction as well as ball speed and direction! Launch angle is also detected."
Ball Speed, Direction and Launch angle for only $1499????

Their own website doesn't even make those claims. Someone is full of it.
