I'm in central London, so have limited indoor space - hence the foresight appeals to me. I also like the idea of accurate path and face angle data, as I find the flightscope x2 at my local range to be regularly inaccurate (impossible data for centre hits, etc). One key question I have is, once you've marked your clubs for HMT can those markers be kept on for normal outdoor play, even if its raining, muddy etc?
Thanks,
P.

Yes definitely. They are outside the impact area anyway.

Thanks a lot GM2 for the quick response. I don't suppose you could post a picture of the markers on the irons and driver - I've tried searching the web for images of the club markers but couldn't find any. No worries if not of course.

Thanks CPA, found some shots of the markers on youtube. Am I right in thinking the HMT must provide more accurate and reliable face angle, AoA and face-impact position data than doppler systems? I mean, the latter just interpolate that data right, whereas HMT actually measures it? Doppler is better for ball flight, but if you're trying to improve your impact position, isn't HMT better than any doppler system?
My apologies if I've got this all wrong.

Mrpetrov this debate of the best way to capture club data is ongoing. My opinion is that capturing club data is very difficult and no approach is perfect. This has been discussed in this and other threads. Frans?

Frans so your thought is that the HMT and the GC2 are not well calibrated and work as 2 independent units? The recent data from the HMT is much better than the original release from a few years ago.

Which is one of the reasons I will stick with Swingbyte. Data just as accurate and video thrown in!

I agree with you CPA. Swingbyte a cheaper and probably as effective option for club data. CPA how is the video integration for Swingbyte going? Looks like it is available for only IPad for now?

The video is invaluable. I have the targetline beta and data is looking sweet now.
My view is this is a must buy. Yes no Android for moment.

Easy CPA! Probably not a must buy, but certainly a good buy I agree giving the price.

I will stick with must Bubba. The 3D view of swing at top, ability to assess swing path, clubface at top and then AOA throughout is a great teaching tool.

Interesting to see you so positive about the SB - the amazon reviews are pretty horrid (esp. with regards to the module needing to be reseated regularly)? My local range is off mats, so I'd be worried about having o reseat the SB on the shaft given how jarring fat hits can be off mats. What's your experience been CPA with regards to how firm it grips the shaft?

Can you post a link Frans.
SB 2 has better attachment and in my experience rarely moves.

I have a Swingbyte coming so will be testing this week. Until one tests it I would not call it a must! Each individual needs to decide based on personal choice.

When are they saying targetline fix will be released?
-

Not sure. I hope soon. I do think it is a good device and the targetline makes sense.

It is accuracy issue, otherwise targetline is set at clubface at address, and that can be a floating number.

Getting back more to thread Frans do you have SB2 to give comparison to Trackman?
-
10-13-2013 07:48 PM #149
As well we need to have a SB2 compared to GC2 HMT. I will be reviewing the SB2 with ProTee. Seeing how the SB2 compares with Trackman and GC2 HMT will be interesting.
